Firm Member Becomes New President of Bar Association of Lehigh County

Davison & McCarthy, P.C. is proud to announce that Daniel K. McCarthy, Esq. has been sworn in on January 12, 2012, as the new president of the Bar Association of Lehigh County. Since the turn of the century, the Bar Association of Lehigh County has provided service and assistance to the area's lawyers and the community. The Association was officially chartered in 1905 "to advance the science of jurisprudence and the administration of justice, to encourage a thorough legal education, to uphold the honor and dignity of the bar, to cultivate social and professional association among its members, to assist the courts in the orderly and efficient administration of justice and to perpetuate the history of the profession and the memory of its members within this judicial district."

Mr. McCarthy has practiced law in the Lehigh Valley for over 35 years and has assisted corporations, developers, municipalities, entrepreneurs and other individuals with their complex legal matters. He is a member of the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners, having been elected in 2001, and has served as Assistant City Solicitor to the City of Allentown, Solicitor to the South Whitehall Township Authority, Northampton County Assistant Public Defender, Special Counsel to the Allentown Fire Civil Service Commission and the Allentown Police Civil Service Commission. Mr. McCarthy is the current Solicitor to the Allentown Parking Authority.
