Mr. Stevens is a native of the Lehigh Valley, and has practiced law with an emphasis on commercial litigation, healthcare law and medical malpractice defense, construction and education law, and personal injury matters. He also has practiced corporate and insurance defense, employment and real estate law in the United States Virgin Islands. Mr. Stevens has experience in handling dispute resolution through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and as a court-appointed arbitrator in Lehigh County.

He has taught computer legal research as a business law instructor at Pennsylvania State University, Lehigh Valley Campus. He is a former judicial intern to the Honorable John T. J. Kelly, Jr. of the Superior Court in Philadelphia. Mr. Stevens authored the article, The Abandoned Shipwreck Act of 1987: Finding the Proper Ballast for the States, which was published in the Villanova Law Review.
