Mr. Aurand has practiced law in the Lehigh Valley for more than 20 years, assisting businesses in connection with sophisticated commercial real estate, business asset and financing transactions. He has represented physicians, dentists and health care facilities (acute, ambulatory and long term care) in organizational, regulatory, contract and reimbursement matters, as well as partnership disputes. He has assisted nonprofit organizations in obtaining state and federal tax exempt status, in board governance matters, and in reorganizations and mergers, and has served as borrower's counsel in connection with several tax-exempt financings. Mr. Aurand has counseled numerous small businesses in the start-up phase and with respect to ongoing legal matters.

Mr. Aurand is the past president of the Board of Directors of the Community Music School and served on the boards of several Lehigh Valley nonprofit organizations and the Ethics Committee of Phoebe Home. Mr. Aurand has been an adjunct professor in the M.B.A. program at Moravian College and has conducted numerous seminars regarding health law and nonprofit issues. He is an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
