Mr. McCarthy has practiced law in the Lehigh Valley for over 30 years and has assisted corporations, developers, municipalities, entrepreneurs and other individuals with their complex legal matters. His practice concentrates in real estate law, municipal law, land use and zoning, administrative law, estate planning and administration, business collections, construction law and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners, having been elected in 2001. His professional experience includes Assistant City Solicitor to the City of Allentown, Solicitor to the South Whitehall Township Authority, Northampton County Assistant Public Defender, Special Counsel to the Allentown Fire Civil Service Commission and the Allentown Police Civil Service Commission, as well as the current Solicitor to the Allentown Parking Authority.
A former member of the Allentown Historical and Architectural Review Board, Mr. McCarthy is chairman of the Allentown Zoning Hearing Board and a licensed title agent.
